This course builds on foundational voice and acting techniques to create a cohesive and truthful musical theatre performance through solo song. Pre-requisites: MUS 150, TAI 182; signed BFA Musical Theatre Major.

Provides students with the basic skills to design sound systems and mix sound for live performances and events including Theatrical, Music (Concert) and Speech. Identical to MCA 270. Credit may not be earned in more than one of these courses.

Principles and practices of stage management. Duties and responsibilities of the stage manager with emphasis on stage management in academic, community, and professional theatre. Prerequisites: TAI 177; TAI 182.

Theory and practice in straight and character makeup.

Introduction to analysis of scripts/dramatic texts for theatrical production, concentrating on the script as the primary source for performance. Prerequisite: TAI 175 or TAI 180.

Introduction to emotional technique and characterization through exercises and scenes in individual projects. Prerequisite: TAI 182.
