Teaching multilingual learners in general education classrooms grades 5-12. Prerequisites: Sophomore standing or a signed TEL Minor.
Assessment practices for teachers of multilingual learners. Course will include Assessment certification: WIDA ACCESS for ELLs: 1-12. Prerequisites: TEL 300, or TEL 301, or TEL 302; a signed TEL Minor; or graduate standing.
Teaching multilingual learners within sociocultural contexts. Topics include implementing culturally-responsive, standards-aligned instruction. Prerequisites: TEL 300, or TEL 301, or TEL 302; a signed TEL Minor; or graduate standing.
Application of skills and knowledge for teaching PK-12 multilingual learners. Includes a clinical experience. Prerequisites: TEL 500 and TEL 501; a signed TEL Minor or graduate standing.
