This course prepares social studies pre-service teachers to teach economics in middle and high school classrooms. Prerequisites: EDU 107 with a B or higher; declared major or minor in Teaching Social Studies.

This course prepares social studies pre-service teachers to plan lessons (i.e., inquiry-based, C3 Framework, etc.) using state/national content and professional standards and various instructional techniques. Prerequisites: Signed Teaching Social Studies Grades 5-12 Major or Teaching Social Studies Grades 5-9 Minor or Teaching Social Studies Grades 7-12 Minor; completion of EDU 107 with a B+ or higher. Pre/Co-requisite: SPE 250.
