SCI 400 Teaching Science in Grades 5-12

Methods of teaching science in grades 5-12, including development and evaluation of lessons in alignment with best practices and state content standards. Course must be completed prior to student teaching. Prerequisites: AST 111; BIO 300; CHM 132; GEL 201; GEO 201; PHY 145QR; Pre/Co-requisite: EDU 455; Admission to Teacher Education.

SCI 415WI Interdisciplinary STEM Solutions I

First course in the senior capstone experience of the InSciTE certificate, designed to allow students to solve current STEM problems in a realistic research environment. Writing Intensive. Prerequisite: SCI 315 and 86 hours completed.

SCI 416 Interdisciplinary STEM Solutions II

Second course in the senior capstone experience of the InSciTE certificate, designed to allow students to complete a STEM project in a realistic research environment. Must be taken the semester directly following SCI 415. Prerequisite: SCI 415.
