An introduction to the role of museums in society, as well as to museum management, operations and careers. Prerequisite: Completion of 24 credit hours.
Conceptual and practical knowledge for effectively fulfilling museum mission by engaging diverse audiences, collaborators, and stakeholders to sustainably foster and serve inclusive communities. Prerequisite: MST 310.
This course covers basic museum collections management and care including policies and procedures, collections planning, curatorial research, artifact preservation, and museum collections careers. Prerequisite: MST 310.
Explore strategies involved in the creation of inclusive museum educational programming and learn to differentiate facilitation techniques to suit varying styles of learning. Prerequisite: MST 310.
