BIO 575 Applied Bioinformatics
Application of bioinformatics techniques. Topics include: gene finding, pairwise and multiple sequence alignments of DNA and protein sequences, and the use of GenBank and BLAST. Prerequisites: BIO 212, BIO 213 with a C- or better; or BIO 315 with a C- or better and a signed Biological Analytics minor; or BIO 211 with a C- or better and a signed major in Biotechnology; or graduate standing in a Master’s or Ph.D. program in the College of Science and Engineering.
