Study of the creation and administrative management of public budgets. Emphasizes processes of budget preparation, adoption, administration and evaluation at various levels of government. Prerequisite: PAD 210.

A developed perspective on lobbying expectations and guidelines for the social sector.  Considers lobbying and policy making through the lens of traditional nonprofit organization models. This class is required for the Certified Nonprofit Professional credential and Nonprofit minor.

Examines the role of public and nonprofit organizations in society. Covers special topics of interest not covered in existing courses. May be repeated when the content is not a duplication of a previous special topics offering. Prerequisites: Permission of the instructor. Recommended: One public or nonprofit administration course.

An integrative learning experience where students apply textbook knowledge to nonprofit organization work experience. Certified Nonprofit Professional credential students must complete the educational contract prior to advisor approval. CR/NC Only. Prerequisites: A minimum of 9 credit hours in the minor prior to registration.
