Parental Contribution
For dependent students, a contributor (parent) will be required to provide information on the applicant's FAFSA. Applicants and their FAFSA contributors must consent to use their Federal Tax Information (FTI) on the FAFSA. An applicant’s Student Aid Index (SAI) is calculated using modified needs analysis formulas, utilizing the information provided on the FAFSA, including the FTI. The OSFA uses the SAI to determine financial aid eligibility.
