Student-initiated study in an area not covered in regular courses guided by faculty or faculty committee. Prerequisite: NDS 678 or MPH 670.

Topics of special interest which are not normally included in existing courses. Specific topic will be listed on student's transcript. This course is approved for offering in a distance learning format.

Individual research culminating in a written thesis, and submission of the work to a peer-reviewed publication and/or scholarly exhibition. CR/NC only.  Prerequisite: NDS 678, permission of instructor.

Significant research project completion resulting in manuscript submission to a peer reviewed journal; oral examination and e-portfolio. Prerequisite: NDS 678.
