This section describes the university's policies and procedures that affect graduate students and graduate programs. It is important to remember that these are the general policies; individual programs may have more rigorous standards for admission, program completion, or graduation indicated in their Bulletin description. It is also important to remember that policies are not static. They are reviewed periodically, and sometimes, following appropriate university procedures, they are changed. When changed, they are printed annually in this Graduate Bulletin, and made immediately in the online version when necessary. The University recognizes that individual circumstances may create a situation in which it is appropriate to grant an exception to a policy given in this Bulletin.
