The Public Administration Concentration is designed to prepare students for careers in public sector administration. Broadly, the objectives of the program are to provide students with background and competency in five areas including:
- the political, social, and economic environment of public administration;
- public management process;
- public policy analysis;
- research and analytic methods; and
- organization theory and behavior.

Select any course offered within any MSA degree program concentration in consultation with an academic advisor: A course outside of the MSA program must be approved by the MSA Director. The MSA 690, Internship, course must be planned in advance and approved by the MSA Director. Special topics courses may be used as a cognate or may be available for specific concentrations.
