The department offers a Master of Arts in History degree, and a Joint Master of Arts degree in History. The Joint Master of Arts degree is offered in association with partner institutions at Friedrich Schiller University, Jena, Germany;  Ruhr University Bochum, Bochum, Germany; the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland; and the University of Toulouse, Jean Jaurés in Toulouse, France. Graduate certificates are also offered.

Graduate-level World Languages and Cultures courses may be appropriate as electives on various graduate degree curricula.
