Admission Requirements, Retention & Termination Standards
- In order to declare a Media Arts major or minor, a student must first meet with an assigned Media Arts advisor.
- Students pursuing Media Arts majors and minors are required to earn a minimum grade of C in each core (required) curriculum course.
Additional Notes for the Media Arts Minor on the BA, BAA, BFA, or BS degree:
At least 12 hours of coursework in the minor must be taken at CMU. Only 3 hours of intern credit (MCA 529) may count toward the minor. Courses taken for credit/no credit do not count toward the minor, except for MCA 329. Only 2 hours of MCA 329 can count toward the minor.
Students may apply up to 6 hours of coursework from their Media Arts minor to another program.
