Admission Requirements, Retention & Termination Standards
In order to be recommended for student teaching, a student must:
- Count no course with a grade lower than C- toward the major.
- Have a minimum of 15 credit hours on the major at CMU and a cumulative average in the major of at least 3.0.
- Have a minimum of 12 credit hours on the major at 300 level or higher.
- Complete a departmental application form.
- Have a grade of C+ or higher in the teaching methods course.
