Information Technology

Jim Bujaki, Vice President/Technology/CIO

Technology plays a significant role in higher education and the world in general. CMU’s Office of Information Technology (OIT) is responsible for providing and supporting a diverse and technically robust teaching, learning, research, and work environment.

While primarily targeted at new members of the CMU community and their supporters, it.cmich.edu/orientation is a terrific resource for current and returning students alike. You will find up-to-date information related to managing your CMU account, accessing email, hardware recommendations and discounts, free software and cloud storage, technical support resources, the wired and wireless network, campus-wide printing, cybersecurity, CMU’s emergency notification system, employment opportunities, policies to abide by, and much more.

The OIT Help Desk is the first point of contact for all technology-related matters. The team is ready, willing, and able to assist students, faculty, and staff with general and CMU-specific technology questions. Support tickets are created for every inquiry and assigned to staff for follow-up as necessary. Updates are provided through final resolution of the matter.
