Updates and Corrections to the 22-23 Undergraduate Bulletin
- PES 328 Sport Analytics II was corrected to show prerequisites.
- BCA 516 - prerequisites corrected per the 4/27/22 Graduate Committee minutes.
- The Special Education Major (Teachers of Students with Cognitive Impairment) and the Special Education Major (Teachers of Students with Emotional Impairment) are now housed within the Department of Teacher and Special Education. All other majors housed within this department may be found by clicking the department link.
- The Department of Counseling, Educational Leadership, and Higher Education may be found here.
- The Admission, Retention, and Termination Standards for the Health and Physical Education major were updated per request of the department.
- The following course descriptions were updated per curricular process for modality: FMD 141, FMD 155, FMD 246, FMD 250, FMD 252, FMD 256, FMD 258, FMD 280, WGS 280, FMD 346, FMD 355QR, IND 155.
- Prerequisites were corrected via curricular process for ART 397 and ART 497.
- New Courses were added via curricular process: BIO 516, DAS 254, CPS 254, PSC 536.
- Prerequisite was updated via curricular process for Spring 2023: BIO 325.
- The Sustainability and Environmental Policy Minor is now housed within the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies.
- Authorization information was updated.
- The Human Resource Management Major has updates to the Admissions, Retention and Termination information regarding BSBA courses that do not count toward the major.
- The General Management Major has updates to the Admissions, Retention and Termination information regarding BSBA courses that do not count toward the major.
- The Public Affairs minor is housed by both the Journalism Department and the School of Politics, Society, Justice, and Public Service (formerly Political Science and Public Administration).
- The following new courses were added to the UG Bulletin: PAD 355, PAD 375, PAD 376, and PAD 399
- Updates have been made on the Endowed Scholarships and Awards page for the two Thavenet Study Abroad scholarships and the Howard Evans scholarship.
- WGS 325 - The paper Bulletin should say "Identical to SPN 325."
- Psychology majors: in all three majors, the third item in the Admission, Retention and Termination standards was updated.'
- BSEd degree - Early Childhood and Elementary Education - Under Specialized Studies, information clarifying the options was updated.
- The Undergraduate Certificate in Fermentation Science is on hiatus as of January 2023.
- IND 436QR was added to the Gen Ed list of QR courses.
- The sentence “Students must earn a grade of C or better in MTH 150, MTH 250, and MTH 350.” was added to the Admission, Retention and Termination Standard sections for the Teaching Grades 3-6 Major, Teaching Grades 3-6 Major with Special Education Major, Teaching Grades PK-3 Major, Teaching Grades PK-3 with Special Education Major, and Teaching Grades PK-6 Major.
- B.Mus - Music: Composition Major - Under "Other Requirements" the phrase "Select one of the following" was removed because 6 hours (both courses) are required. It did not change the amount of hours on the major and was correct in SAP and the printed Bulletin.
- Mathematics Minor: The electives section on this minor was revised after publishing of this Bulletin per the CSE Curriculum Committee minutes of 5/10/21. There is no change to the elective hours (9) or total hours (20).
- On the Teaching Early Childhood, B-K & Early Childhood Special Education Major, B.S.Ed. (Standard Certificate, B-6), in the Admission, Retention, and Termination Standards, Item 2 was updated to say "Student must receive a grade of C+ or better in HDF 302, HDF 303, HDF 402, HDF 403, HDF 409, and SPE 585 in order to graduate with this major."
- On the BAA, the Commercial Music Major was omitted from the list on the degree, and has now been added.
- On the Broadcast and Cinematic Arts Major, in the paper version only, Required Courses IV was left off. The posted pdf has been updated.
