Prepares future secondary teachers to plan and deliver effective, learner-centered, developmentally-appropriate, and culturally-responsive instruction that provides a safe and caring classroom climate for all students. Materials, organization, and methods of teaching reading in the elementary and secondary school to address the Michigan and national literacy standards and benchmarks.
