Finance, Graduate Certificate
The Graduate Certificate in Finance is designed for learners who hold a Bachelor's degree and who desire to acquire advanced knowledge and skills in finance.
Minimum Totals for Graduation: 9 - 12 hours
Admission Requirements, Retention & Termination Standards
To be considered for regular admission, an applicant must have a Bachelor's degree with cumulative GPA of at least 2.7.

If the student is admitted to the MBA program, some of the credits successfully earned with this certificate program may be used towards the Finance emphasis. The number of credits that can be counted toward both this certificate and another program, such as MBA, are governed by the credit-sharing policies in the Graduate Bulletin. Further, the set of courses that count toward both the emphasis and another graduate program may not form the entirety of this certificate; at least six (6) credits must be unique to this certificate.
Students take 3-4 finance graduate courses (9-12 credit hours) to complete this graduate certificate.

Note: MBA 670 (Prerequisite to
FIN 680) may be waived if the student has completed or is currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree (e.g., BSBA or MBA) with a Finance major or minor or has substantial work experience in the field of finance. Applicants currently enrolled in a business degree program must have completed at least one finance course with a B or better.
